HERMES was built in 1961 by the Italian boatyard VIDOLI. VIDOLI was famous for building wooden hydroplane raceboats from 1900 – 1940, and wooden, venetian water taxis.
They've built only 3 boats in the luxury style of HERMES. We know of one but the third one is lost in history
HERMES is powered by a BPM 4 cylinder race engine with 144 HP. BPM was founded by "Botta" and "Puricell" in 1952 in "Milan". They've been former engineers at FERRARI. It's a very fine engineered engine which has to be maintained regularly. It performs amazingly on the flat sea.
HERMES is registered in ASDEC's historical register of vintage and classic boats in Italy.
